Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and have a keen eye for detail. This role involves providing comprehensive support to legal professionals, ensuring that all documentation is accurately prepared and maintained. The successful applicant will be adept at managing multiple tasks while maintaining a professional demeanour in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Provide administrative support to solicitors and legal teams, including managing calendars and scheduling appointments.
Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports with precision.
Maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring all documents are easily accessible.
Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
Type legal documents efficiently, including audio typing when required.
Utilise Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook and Excel to manage information and correspondence effectively.
Assist in the preparation for court hearings or meetings by gathering necessary documentation and materials.
Manage time effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of work quality.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment.
Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Time management skills that enable the handling of multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Experience in audio typing is advantageous but not essential.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
