Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to join our team here at Forss House Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting where attention to detail and excellent customer service are highly valued. Prior experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is advantageous. The Housekeeper will play a vital role in upholding our standards of hygiene and presentation.

There is a possibility of Live in for the right candidate in the form of a two bedroom flat however a driving license would be required as the flat is off site.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities according to established standards
Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish supplies such as towels and toiletries
Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and dust surfaces to maintain a spotless environment
Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained properly
Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
Assist with laundry duties as required
Provide excellent customer service by attending to guest requests courteously and efficiently
Follow health and safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential
Basic cooking skills are considered an advantage but not mandatory
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends if required
Good physical stamina with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting or bending
