About us

The Woodland House Hotel is a privately owned family run hotel based on the outskirts of Dumfries set in 17 acres. It has twenty bedrooms and a function suite.

We are currently looking for an assistant chef/cook to join our team . All food is cooked fresh on site and we cater for residents, non-residents, various types of functions up to 150 number.

Applicants will be required to cook all courses from start to finish, be innovative and willing to progress our well established menu. Must also be able to work as a team and take instructions as necessary and also work on their own. Part-time hours are available. Previous experience in a cooking role is essential.

There is no live in accommodation available.

Applicants must be reliable and able to commute. The majority of shifts are split with meals being served from 12 noon to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Hourly rate will depend on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
