Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Tyre Fitter/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tyres and related vehicle components to ensure optimal safety and performance. Your expertise will help keep our customers on the road with confidence, providing exceptional service and technical support. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about vehicle maintenance and eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Remove, fit, balance, and repair tyres efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues related to tyres or other components.
Use hand tools and power tools to perform maintenance tasks such as wheel alignments, brake repairs, and suspension checks.
Assist with general vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks, oil changes, and replacing worn parts.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering professional advice.
Lift heavy tyres and equipment safely during installation or removal processes, following proper manual handling procedures.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical knowledge with a good understanding of vehicle systems and tyre technology.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers; experience with power tools is a plus.
Prior experience in vehicle maintenance or tyre fitting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during tyre installation or removal tasks.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
Basic maintenance skills including fluid checks and minor repairs are desirable.
A proactive approach to safety practices and attention to detail in all tasks.
