Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Tire Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing tyres on a variety of vehicles. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities
- Remove and replace tyres using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and defects, providing recommendations for repairs or replacements
- Perform wheel balancing and alignment procedures as required
- Conduct routine maintenance on tyre fitting equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist customers with tyre-related enquiries, offering professional advice and solutions
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to uphold safety standards
- Lift heavy tyres and equipment safely, adhering to manual handling guidelines
- Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used
Experience
- Prior experience in tyre fitting or automotive maintenance is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic vehicle maintenance is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment
