Job Title: Cover Receptionist – York Area

Location: York, UK
Pay Rate: £13.80 per hour
Hours: Day shift (hours may vary depending on cover needs)

About the Role

We are looking for a professional and reliable Cover Receptionist to join our team in the York area. This is a key front-of-house position where you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, representing our company with professionalism and a welcoming approach.

This will be a zero hour contract as it would be to cover sickness and holidays

Hours would be 9am -3pm

Key Responsibilities

Greet visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer and direct phone calls promptly.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
Maintain reception area to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
Assist with basic administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and scheduling.
Provide cover during staff absence, which may include working at various sites within the York area.

Requirements

Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Confident using Microsoft Office and other basic computer systems.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Flexibility to travel to different locations in the York area for cover shifts.
