About the Role:

At SA Quality Sheds Ltd, we design, supply, and deliver high-quality garden buildings, outdoor storage solutions, and timber products for homes and businesses across Scotland. We believe that a strong commercial strategy is what turns reliable products into a trusted brand. We are looking for a Commercial Director who can lead our sales growth, strengthen customer relationships, and drive business performance across our key markets.

You are not just managing sales figures; you are shaping the commercial direction of the company. You will work closely with operations, customer service, suppliers, and senior management to identify opportunities, improve revenue, and ensure our customers receive a professional and dependable service from enquiry to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement commercial plans that support revenue growth, market expansion, and long-term business stability.

Sales Leadership: Lead sales activity across direct customers, trade accounts, and business partnerships. Monitor performance and identify ways to improve conversion rates and customer retention.

Pricing and Revenue Management: Review pricing, margins, and product performance to ensure the company remains competitive while protecting profitability.

Business Development: Identify new opportunities with homeowners, contractors, retailers, property managers, and other potential partners.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with operations, logistics, customer service, and production teams to ensure customer promises are realistic, profitable, and delivered on time.

Market Awareness: Monitor competitor activity, customer demand, and market trends within garden buildings, sheds, outdoor storage, and related products.

Stakeholder Management: Present commercial updates, sales forecasts, and performance insights to senior management. Provide clear recommendations based on data and business priorities.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience: Strong experience in commercial management, sales leadership, business development, or revenue growth, ideally within manufacturing, construction supplies, home improvement, outdoor products, logistics, or a related sector.

Leadership: Confident in leading teams, setting targets, reviewing performance, and helping others achieve commercial goals.

Commercial Mindset: Able to balance growth, pricing, customer satisfaction, and profitability. You understand how to win business without damaging margins.

Communication Skills: Comfortable dealing with customers, suppliers, internal teams, and senior decision-makers. You can explain commercial decisions clearly and professionally.

Analytical Skills: Able to use sales data, customer feedback, and market information to guide decisions and improve results.

Mindset: Practical, organised, and results-focused. You know when to pursue new opportunities, when to improve existing processes, and when to make firm commercial decisions.

Pay: £74,874.00-£86,100.00 per year
