Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation meet our standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in food preparation and culinary arts to showcase their expertise in a dynamic restaurant environment. The successful applicant will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests through their dedication and culinary skills.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and customer specifications
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding work areas
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
Assist in meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods
Manage stock levels of ingredients, notifying management of shortages or expiry dates
Adhere to health and safety policies at all times, including proper handling of equipment and utensils

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a kitchen assistant within a restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience working with grills or open flame cooking preferred
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
A passion for culinary arts and delivering high-quality dishes to guests
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the restaurant schedule
