Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, organised, and proactive Business Assistant to join our friendly nursing home team. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home while helping to create a positive experience for residents, relatives, visitors, prospective clients, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and organise administrative tasks using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Maintain accurate digital records, databases, and filing systems
Assist residents, relatives, visitors, and staff with enquiries and day-to-day support
Proactively respond to and assist with enquiries from prospective clients and families
Support managers and staff with administrative tasks and communication
Monitor compliance documentation, audits, and service records
Coordinate and track service schedules and maintenance requirements
Assist with organising residents’ activities and events
Prepare newsletters, notices, and internal communications
Help ensure the home operates efficiently, professionally, and in line with regulatory standards

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Friendly, approachable, and compassionate
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Confident using Microsoft Office, email systems, and digital record-keeping systems
Able to multitask and manage competing priorities
Professional and confident when dealing with residents, families, prospective clients, and external professionals
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Previous administration or care sector experience is desirable but not essential
The position is subject to DBS check and satisfactory references
