Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber to join our team in the Southampton area. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across a variety of commercial and residential projects. This role requires a skilled professional with a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The position offers steady employment with opportunities for career development within a reputable organisation.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with safety standards and building codes
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete plumbing tasks efficiently
Conduct inspections to identify faults or leaks and perform necessary repairs or replacements
Assist with the assembly of plumbing components and systems during new installations or renovations
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation or repairs
Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised after completion of tasks
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians or carpenters when necessary for integrated projects
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

Experience

Proven experience as a qualified plumber with a strong understanding of plumbing systems in both commercial and residential settings
Proficiency in welding, use of hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry skills
Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing components and systems
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Experience in commercial driving is advantageous but not essential
Familiarity with assembly processes related to plumbing installations
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations required during installations or repairs

Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, organisational skills, and a commitment to safety standards. A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory. The role offers an engaging work environment where professionalism and technical expertise are highly valued.

Pay: £45.00-£60.00 per hour
