Full job description

The Role

Boroughmuir Rugby & Community Sports Club (BRCSC) is looking for a creative, innovative and hands-on Marketing & Communications Coordinator to manage the day-to-day marketing and communications for BRCSC and The Clubhouse - Café, Bar & Venue.

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of the club - attending training, home matchdays and events, finding stories, creating content and coming up with new and exciting ways to engage our audiences.

Working closely with the Director of Marketing, Bar Manager and Business Development Manager, you will help grow the profile of the club, increase engagement and support the commercial success of both BRCSC and The Clubhouse.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver marketing and communications activity across BRCSC and The Clubhouse.
Manage social media, websites, email communications and the content calendar.
Create fresh and innovative content across video, reels, photography, graphics, interviews, behind-the-scenes content and written content.
Develop creative campaigns to promote fixtures, teams, memberships, community activity, events, promotions and The Clubhouse.
Work closely with the Bar Manager and Business Development Manager to promote events, hospitality, venue hire, food and drink and commercial opportunities.
Attend training, home matchdays and key events to capture content and provide live social media coverage.
Coordinate matchday communications and the matchday programme.
Work with players, coaches, members, volunteers, sponsors and partners to identify stories and content opportunities.
Monitor performance and provide regular reporting and recommendations.
Identify new platforms, trends and creative opportunities to improve the club's marketing.

The Person

We are looking for someone who is:

Creative and innovative, with a genuine ability to think differently about content and how we engage people.
A strong content creator who can turn everyday club activity into engaging, shareable content.
Proactive, energetic and willing to get out from behind the desk and get involved in club life.
Experienced in marketing, social media and digital communications.
Confident using Canva or similar tools and comfortable creating video, photography and graphics.
Organised, commercially aware and able to manage multiple priorities.
Passionate about rugby, sport and community.
Comfortable working with players, coaches, staff, members, volunteers, sponsors and partners.
Flexible and able to work some evenings and weekends, with working hours adjusted to allow attendance at training sessions, home matchdays and key events.
Curious about new social media trends, platforms and content formats and willing to test new ideas.
