Full job description

Position Title: Event Assistant

Duration: Fixed term contract (03/08/2026 - 30/09/2026).

Hours: part time (15-25hrs / week) and full time (30 - 40 hours / week) positions available

The position will involve evening shifts throughout August, followed by a combination of day and evening shifts in September. Typical shift times during August will be approximately 4:00pm to 10:00pm.

Possibility to continue full time or part time after September.

Students may choose to work full-time during the summer period. Once the academic term resumes, they can choose whether to continue working full-time or reduce their hours to fit around their studies.

Pay rate: £13.45/h

A peek into the position

As an Event Hospitality staff, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth operation of events. You will work as part of the front-of-house to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests. From assisting with food and beverage service to maintaining cleanliness and organisation, you will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that exceeds customer expectations.

Your role in a nutshell

- Set up event spaces according to client specifications

- Serve food and beverages to guests with a professional and friendly demeanor

- Assist in the preparation and breakdown of events

- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of service areas

- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service

- Address guest inquiries and provide exceptional customer service

- Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates.

-Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the overall operation of the restaurant.
