The company

Consolidated Timber Holdings (CTH) Ltd is a UK market leading group of customer focused, innovative and forward thinking companies, supplying sustainable timber products to the construction and joinery markets across the UK and Ireland.

Hoffman Triesse is the manufacturing division of CTH and is one of the UK’s largest independent processors of wood-based panels and manufacturers of veneered and laminated boards.

We are passionate about the timber industry ensuring a commitment to ethical and sustainable supply supporting the global need for a carbon neutral environment.

CTH currently has over 300 employees operating out of 8 distribution depots, 3 manufacturing sites and our Head Office at the Port of Tilbury.

The role

The Purchasing & Stock Controller role is based on site in Leeds and is responsible for planning and procuring all key materials across Hoffman Triesse to ensure that production demand is met whilst maintaining efficient stock levels and cost control.

Working closely with Production Planning, Sales and Procurement, the role manages the ordering of core timber materials alongside other ad hoc purchasing requirements and maintaining supplier relationships. The position also manages the purchasing, support, and relationship of intracompany purchases.

The role plays a key part in maintaining supply continuity, improving material utilisation, and ensuring compliance with product and environmental standards.

The person

· Previous experience working in a stock planning, supply chain or procurement role.

· A good understanding of manufacturing and distribution operations, ideally in the timber trade.

· A highly organised approach and accuracy when managing large data sets.

· Well developed prioritisation skills, using commercial understanding to agree priorities.

· Good communication skills, able work collaboratively across a diverse group of people
