Full job description

Security Officer – Telford Area

Guardwatch Security UK Limited is a long-established SIA Approved Contractor providing professional security services across the UK.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Security Officer to work a site in the Telford area.

Shift Pattern:

4 on / 4 off rotation
06:00 – 18:00 (12-hour shifts)
Additional shifts maybe available at nearby sites

Pay Rate:

£13.10 per hour
Double pay on Bank Holidays

Key Requirements

Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good IT literacy
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional, reliable, and trustworthy approach
Full 5-year checkable employment and education history

Previous experience in security, gatehouse operations, or weighbridge duties is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Acting as the first point of contact for employees, contractors, and visitors
Maintaining a safe and secure environment
Access control and managing unauthorised persons
Supporting emergency procedures and evacuations
Operating the weighbridge
Monitoring CCTV systems
Conducting searches in accordance with company procedures
Reception and administrative duties
Carrying out regular site patrols
