Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Apprentice Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in our care homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and independence of those in their care, ensuring they receive respectful and personalised assistance. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills within the health and social care sector.

Duties

Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, promoting dignity and independence.
Support residents with feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Support residents in engaging with social activities and community outings where appropriate.
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both residents and staff.
Utilise IT systems to update care records and document relevant information efficiently.

Qualifications

Experience working within a care home is not essential; training will be provided.
Valid driving licence is advantageous, due to localities of the homes.
Good command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate records and using organisational systems.
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism when interacting with residents
Ability to work well as part of a team in a caring environment.
