Full job description

Stop Domestic Abuse is a trauma informed organisation, the work we do to support those affected by domestic abuse may be triggering for those with past trauma. Please only apply if you are living free from abuse. If you’d like to talk to us about this, please get in touch.

Main purpose and scope of the job:

Supporting, advising and assisting women, men and their families who have experienced domestic abuse or are at risk of domestic abuse and have additional mental health issues/support needs.
Assessing the needs of individuals, developing recovery focused Support Plans that ensure the service user have a clear pathway of support across services and agencies, both mainstream and specialist.
Supporting victims/survivors in the development of emotional management skills, coping strategies, personal and life skills; with the aim of attaining greater independence and self esteem.
Strengthening and developing links and pathways with other services to increase collaborative working.
Working to empower and support all victims and survivors of domestic abuse to make positive choices.
