Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering excellent customer service, ensuring smooth restaurant operations, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food service, strong organisational skills, and a positive attitude. Previous restaurant experience and knowledge of food safety standards are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently to optimise seating arrangements
Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
Assist with food preparation tasks as required, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the service area
Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic maths for billing purposes
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Maintain a welcoming atmosphere by engaging positively with guests and addressing any concerns promptly

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently when required
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills, including food preparation and upselling techniques

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
