Website & Social Creative – Contractor

Job Type: Contractor
Hourly Rate: From £12.72 per hour, depending on experience

Are you a creative who wants to build something you can genuinely call your own?

We’re looking for a Website & Social Creative Contractor who wants more than simply following briefs and ticking off design tasks.

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of the creative direction of our brand. You’ll have the freedom to shape how we look, feel and communicate across our website, social media and digital channels.

You’ll have creative control over our imagery and visual content, with the opportunity to develop a distinctive visual identity and see your ideas come to life.

What You'll Be Doing

Taking creative ownership of the brand's visual identity
Having creative control over website, social and campaign imagery
Developing the overall look and feel of our digital presence
Designing website pages and digital experiences using Figma
Working within and managing creative content across Shopify
Creating engaging social media content, posts, stories, reels and campaigns
Designing website graphics, landing pages, banners and promotional content
Developing creative concepts from idea through to finished content
Creating content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other relevant platforms
Developing creative campaigns that stand out and get noticed
Keeping up with current social media, design and digital trends
Working with the wider team to turn ideas into compelling creative
Reviewing content performance and using insights to develop future creative
Ensuring all digital content is consistent, distinctive and on-brand

This Role Is About Ownership

We’re not looking for someone who simply wants to be handed a brief and told exactly what to create.

We want someone who can take an idea, run with it and make it their own.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence everything from the imagery we use and the way our website looks, to our social media presence and wider digital campaigns.

You’ll have the creative freedom, responsibility and visibility to make a genuine difference.

For the right person, this is a chance to build a portfolio of work that you can be genuinely proud of and point to as something you helped shape from the ground up.

You’ll be:

Naturally creative and full of ideas
Confident making creative decisions
Passionate about design, websites and social media
Comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do
Curious about new trends, platforms and creative styles
Detail-focused while still seeing the bigger picture
Confident presenting and explaining your creative ideas

Essential Requirements

Proven professional experience using Figma
Hands-on experience working with Shopify
A strong portfolio of previous creative work is essential
Previous experience creating content for websites and social media
A strong eye for design, branding, typography, layout and imagery
Experience creating social media content and short-form video
Good understanding of responsive website design and user experience
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Your Portfolio

Your portfolio is essential.

We want to see what you can actually create.

Your portfolio should demonstrate your experience across areas such as:

Website and UI design
Figma projects
Shopify website projects
Social media creative
Digital campaigns
Branding and graphic design
Video or motion content
Landing pages and digital experiences
