About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior-in-Charge to oversee the day-to-day operation of two supported living services based in Braintree and Dagenham.

The role requires flexibility, as you will work across both services and travel between Braintree and Dagenham when required to provide leadership, support staff teams, monitor quality, and ensure tenants receive safe, effective and person-centred support.

You will provide leadership and guidance to Support Workers, ensuring that adults with learning disabilities, ADHD, and Autism receive high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing.

Working closely with the Registered Care Manager, you will help ensure that our services meet CQC standards, maintain an excellent quality of care, and support tenants in achieving their personal goals. And Participation in an on-call rota is required

Summary

We are seeking a Senior-in-Charge for Supported Living to join our dedicated team in the UK. Based in Dagenham and Braintree, this vital role involves overseeing supported living services, ensuring high-quality care, and leading our compassionate staff to make a positive difference in our clients' lives.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily running of two supported living schemes.
Provide leadership, supervision and support to Support Workers.
Ensure person-centred support is delivered in line with individual needs and care plans.
Develop, review, and update support plans and risk assessments.
Promote independence, inclusion and positive outcomes for tenants.
Monitor medication practices, including MAR chart checks and medication audits.
Maintain accurate records, daily notes, and care documentation.
Support with safeguarding concerns, incidents, and investigations.
Complete health and safety checks, including fire safety checks.
Support with staff rotas, annual leave cover, and team coordination.
Work collaboratively with families, social workers, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
Participate in the on-call rota and guide during emergencies.

You will have:

Previous experience working as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or similar role within supported living or adult social care.
Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, Autism and/or ADHD.
A strong understanding of person-centred care and promoting independence.
Experience completing:

Support plans

Risk assessments

Incident reports

Daily records

Experience supporting medication management.
Experience supporting individuals with finances and daily living skills.
Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads.

Desirable

Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (due to travel between services).
Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to complete one).
Experience supervising or mentoring Support Workers.
