Full job description

Job Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort throughout the resort's guest rooms and public areas. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring accommodation is clean, welcoming, and prepared to the resort's luxury standards.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and corridors in accordance with resort standards.
Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
Vacuum, dust, polish, and sanitise all assigned areas.
Ensure rooms are fully prepared and inspected before guest arrivals.
Report maintenance issues, damages, and lost property promptly.
Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and cleaning supplies in a safe and organised manner.
Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
Respond courteously and professionally to guest requests and enquiries.
Assist with deep-cleaning projects and seasonal housekeeping tasks when required.
Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
Follow all resort policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Skills and ExperienceEssential

Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good time-management and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays, and varying shifts.

Desirable

Experience working in a luxury hotel, spa, or resort environment.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
