Full job description

This role is offered alongside a structured apprenticeship programme, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to earn while they learn and gain a recognised qualification.

The apprentice will develop practical experience in regulatory compliance, health and safety, fleet administration and financial record keeping.

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Assist with ensuring all refuse vehicles comply with LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) MOT, and taxation requirements.
Assist with the creation and management of scheduled servicing and maintenance plans for refuse vehicles.
Assist with ordering vehicle parts and consumables required for maintenance and operational efficiency.
Assist with the preparation, organising and sending of all necessary compliance documentation to customers in a timely manner.
Assist with the maintenance of accurate records of compliance activities, inspections, and certifications.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining health and safety standards across operations.
Assist with internal audits and inspections related to health and safety. and regulatory compliance.
Support the implementation and ongoing adherence to ISO certifications and standards.
Match invoices to purchase orders, ensuring accuracy across financial records.
Match fuel receipts to fuel invoices, supporting accurate fuel expenditure tracking.
