Full job description

Overview
Due to a full order book, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated person to join our team with a long established family run business in the East Midlands, specialising in construction and building projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Bricklaying, SSTS qualified level 2/3 (time served). This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality construction work while developing your skills within a professional environment. The position is a permanent full tile role, and suitable for individuals committed to craftsmanship and safety standards. Full driving license required.

Responsibilities

Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out bricklaying tasks
Construct, repair, and maintain structures using bricks, mortar, and other materials
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
Prepare sites by clearing debris, setting up ladders, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Maintain equipment in good working order through regular inspections and basic repairs

Requirements

Proven experience in , bricklaying is essential - SSTS level 2/3 qualified (time served)
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
Ability to read technical drawings and follow safety guidelines diligently
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Must be able to demonstrate reliability and a commitment to quality workmanship
