Job Introduction

Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals and deliver positive person centred outcomes for people with complex support needs who rely on our services.

You will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to your role, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.

Where you’ll be working:

Oadby, Leicestershire

This is a unique service within Leicestershire supporting 2 people, where we offer supportive living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community.

You will be supporting an individuals with complex care needs in their own home. The people you will be supporting are non-verbal and communicate through alternative methods, so patience, attentiveness, and a person-centred approach are essential. Our clients require PEG feeding, and you will be responsible for supporting their nutritional needs in line with their care plan and training provided. Experience in epilepsy is essential also, so being able to recognise and responding to seizures is highly desirable

What is required from you?

A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
Shifts Available;
We offer a variety of flexible shift patterns to support a healthy work-life balance, including:
- Early shifts: 7:00am – 10:00am
- Day shifts: 7:00am – 3:00pm
- Afternoon/Evening shifts: 2:30pm – 10:00pm
- Wake nights (cover required): 9:45pm – 8:00am
A range of shift options are available, with opportunities to cover wake nights as part of the rota.

Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.

Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

Communicating - effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods

Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life

Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches

Recording - keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management

Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
