Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food experiences by overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Your energetic leadership will inspire your team to excel in a fast-paced environment, creating memorable dishes that delight our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and management skills while contributing to a welcoming hospitality atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing daily food preparation and presentation, maintaining consistency and quality across all dishes
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure efficient teamwork and high standards of service
Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and proper handling of ingredients at all times
Manage food production processes, including ingredient sourcing, portion control, and waste reduction to optimize efficiency
Support the development of new menu items by contributing creative ideas and culinary techniques
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment, adhering to sanitation standards
Serve as a leader on the floor during busy service times, assisting with food preparation and ensuring timely delivery of orders

Experience

Good background in food production, cooking, and culinary techniques
Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse kitchen staff
Solid kitchen experience with a focus on food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices
Previous restaurant experience with a strong understanding of hospitality standards and guest service
Knowledge of food preparation methods, serving protocols, and menu development is highly desirable
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards

Pay: Up to £18.00 per hour
