Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tyre Fitter to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of tyres on various vehicle types. Your expertise will ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and perform optimally. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive maintenance and customer service, with the chance to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Remove and replace tyres using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and proper tread depth to determine repair or replacement needs
Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation and reduce vibrations
Conduct routine maintenance on tyre fitting equipment to ensure optimal performance
Assist customers by explaining tyre options, maintenance procedures, and safety tips
Perform heavy lifting of tyres and wheels safely, following proper manual handling techniques
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and customer details

Qualifications

Mechanical knowledge of vehicle tyres and basic automotive systems
Experience with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers
Familiarity with power tools used in tyre fitting processes
Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools
Strong customer service skills to assist clients professionally and courteously
Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and manual tasks throughout shifts
Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate

Pay: £10.00-£13.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
