Full job description

We are looking to recruit a full-time Dental Receptionist to join our modern, forward-thinking private dental practice in Spalding.

As our practice continues to grow and evolve, we are seeking an organised, approachable and experienced individual with previous dental reception experience to become a valued part of our team.

Please note: Previous experience working within a dental practice is essential for this role.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in delivering a smooth, welcoming and professional patient experience.

Key responsibilities include:

Welcoming patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
Managing a busy reception desk within a dental practice environment
Booking and coordinating appointments in person, by telephone and via text messaging
Using dental software to manage patient appointments and notify clinicians of patient arrivals
Handling recalls, failed-to-attend correspondence, referrals and cancellations
Preparing, scanning and maintaining accurate patient records
Managing appointment books effectively to maximise surgery utilisation
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice

About You

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Dental Receptionist or within a dental practice
Experience using dental practice management software, ideally Exact (SOE)
Strong understanding of dental appointment scheduling and patient management
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Professional, well-presented and reliable
Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment
A positive team player with a proactive approach to work

Desirable:

Experience working within a private dental practice
