Full job description

We are looking for an experienced, reliable, responsible and confident individual to join our front of house team in the position of 'Hotel Receptionist'.

The position requires a confident and friendly individual who has excellent organisation and communication skills.

The role requires the individual to work 8-hour shifts 4 times a week. The shift pattern is: 7am-3pm Saturday and Sunday, and 3pm-11pm Monday and Tuesday.

We are looking for an individual who has recent hotel experience, especially in a front of house role.

Due to the responsibility of the position, we are looking for a confident individual who has an excellent work ethic, is honest and is extremely reliable and can work under pressure.

Duties throughout each shift will include: *

- Greeting guests

- Handling guests enquiries

- Taking and making new hotel reservations

- Answering calls and emails

- Checking in / out guests

- Taking payment from guests

- Selling drinks at the bar

- Handling guest complaints and resolving them to a satisfactory level

- Looking after the security of the hotel and guests

- Completing all necessary reports required throughout the shift

*Please note this list is not exhaustive and is just an example of some of the responsibilities of the role.

As a hotel which is open 355 days a year, should shifts fall on Bank Holidays and/or weekends, the shift will be required to be worked.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Experience:

Hospitality: 3 years (required)

Language:

fluent English (required)

Licence/Certification:

personal license qualification such as BIIAB Level 2 (preferred)

Work authorisation:

United Kingdom (required)
