Job description:

We are seeking a confident and personable Restaurant Host to join our Food & Beverage team. You will be the welcoming face of the restaurant, responsible for creating a warm, professional first impression and ensuring a smooth guest experience from arrival to departure.

This is a full-time role based on 40 hours per week and is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering exceptional hospitality and thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

You will:

Welcome and seat guests in a warm and professional manner
Manage reservations and table allocations to ensure smooth service flow
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team
Handle guest enquiries, walk-ins, and waiting lists efficiently
Support smooth opening and closing procedures
Maintain knowledge of menu items, offers, and restaurant information
Ensure guests have an exceptional experience from arrival to departure
Identify opportunities to enhance service and support revenue growth

You have:

Experience working in a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills at all levels
Basic IT skills and confidence using booking or POS systems
Experience with reservation or restaurant management systems is desirable

Reports to: Head of Food & Beverage

Salary: £26,437 per year

Job type: Full-time / Part-time, Permanent
