Full job description

Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and love working with animals and their owners? We are looking for a friendly, organised, and professional Veterinary Receptionist to join our welcoming team at Guildford Vets for Pets.

As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our busy practice.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with some flexibility available.

Key responsibilities include:

Greeting clients and their pets with warmth, empathy, and professionalism
Managing telephone enquiries, emails, and appointment bookings
Processing payments and pet insurance claims
Banking and daily cash reconciliation
Managing outstanding debt and payment queries
Supporting the clinical team to ensure the practice runs efficiently
Handling sensitive, emotional, or challenging situations with compassion and confidence

About You:

We're looking for someone who is:

Experienced in a veterinary reception role (preferred but not essential)
Customer-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Confident using IT systems and administrative software
Passionate about animal welfare and providing exceptional client care
