Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Assistant working the Night Shift for young adults aged 18 to 24. This energetic role is perfect for individuals passionate about food, eager to develop culinary skills, and dedicated to maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment. You will play a vital part in meal preparation, food safety, and supporting the overall operation of our catering and dining services during evening hours. Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
Support kitchen staff with food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures.
Prepare ingredients and basic dishes under supervision, gaining hands-on culinary experience.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout your shift.
Serve meals to residents or guests efficiently while adhering to hygiene standards.
Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, notifying supervisors of shortages or needs.
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety protocols.
Strong interest in culinary arts with a willingness to learn new skills.
Ability to work independently during night shifts while collaborating with team members.
Excellent attention to detail in meal presentation and food safety practices.
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and service teams.
Prior experience in serving or supporting food service operations is a plus.
