Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Support Worker to provide essential assistance to children and young people. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment, ensuring the wellbeing and development of those in their care. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact within a community-focused organisation.

Duties

Support children and young people with daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort
Assist in the development and implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
Engage in meaningful activities that promote social, emotional, and developmental growth
Provide transportation when necessary, including driving children to appointments or activities
Maintain clear and effective communication with colleagues, families, and external professionals
Record observations and progress notes accurately using IT systems
Foster positive relationships through empathetic listening and encouragement
Support children in developing life skills and independence
Leading teams
Supervisions

Requirements

Experience working with childrens residential or associated setting
Level 3 or 4 in childrens residential (or progressing)
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of care planning processes and ability to contribute effectively to care plans
Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
Compassionate nature with excellent organisational skills
Ability to work flexibly according to organisational needs, including shifts at the weekend and bank holidays.

Pay: £15.00-£15.50 per hour
