Security Officer - Southminster

Hours

Average 42 hours per week
Must be available to cover days and night shifts as required

The role of Security Officer:

Ensure the safety of customers, staff, their buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile
Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security protocols
Conduct searches where required
Patrol the premises
Deal with security incidents
Ensure visitors and staff are in a safe environment by de-escalating situations in a firm but respectful manner
Search people and vehicles
Book in visitors and issue keys
Monitor access control and CCTV

The ideal Security Officer:

Must be aged 18 or over
Must have a valid SIA Licence and a full UK Driving Licence
Must be computer-literate with good IT knowledge
A confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times
Good problem-solving skills
A good listener and able to work on own initiative
It would be a benefit to have some security experience and your SIA licence, however it's not essential, as full SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence training is provided
