Key Requirements

Qualified Electrician with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) — essential
JIB Gold Card, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent electrical qualification required
Solar PV installation experience highly desirable — full training available for the right candidate
Experience with AC/DC wiring, testing, and commissioning
Full UK driving licence required
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and interest in renewable energy

Solar Electrician – Renewable Energy Sector

All Solar Works Ltd is a growing renewable energy company based in Worthing, specialising in solar PV and battery storage installations for residential and commercial customers across the South East.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for:

An experienced Solar Electrician looking to progress within a fast-growing renewable energy business, or
A qualified electrician seeking to transition into the solar sector with full training and support provided.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in one of the UK’s fastest-growing industries while working on high-quality renewable energy installations.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, and test solar PV systems, battery storage systems, and associated electrical equipment
Carry out AC and DC wiring in accordance with MCS standards and BS 7671 regulations
Diagnose and resolve electrical and solar system faults efficiently
Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of electrical and solar installations
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard in line with MCS and RECC requirements
Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and installation teams to deliver projects on time
Maintain accurate records of installations, commissioning data, and completed works

Qualifications & ExperienceEssential

JIB Gold Card, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, or equivalent
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
Full UK driving licence
Experience in electrical installation, testing, and fault finding
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

Solar PV installation experience
2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
Knowledge of MCS standards and DNO/G99 processes
Experience with battery storage or EV charging systems

Personal Attributes

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Positive, proactive attitude with good problem-solving skills
Professional communication skills with customers and colleagues
Passion for renewable energy and willingness to learn
