Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Takeaway Assistant to join our busy food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting daily operations, ensuring smooth customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in the catering and hospitality industry to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble takeaway orders accurately and efficiently
Assist with meal and food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
Serve customers at the counter with professionalism and courtesy
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas
Follow food safety procedures and hygiene standards at all times
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Support the team with general duties, including cleaning, dishwashing, and equipment maintenance
Handle cash transactions accurately if required, adhering to cash handling procedures

Skills

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable
Knowledge of food preparation and meal assembly techniques
Understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
