Full job description

GLL is currently looking for an Assistant Head Coach based at Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre. Join us and play a key role in the developing our Squad Swimmers in our Swimming training Scheme (BTS). This is your chance to deliver safe, consistent coached programme of sessions for our swim squads along with working with an established team of coaches. As an experienced swimming coach, you’ll thrive on supporting people to achieve their potential. Taking a pupil’s nature and needs into account. An Assistant Head Coach will draw on their knowledge of planning, practices, progression and coaching points and apply it in the most effective way, whilst supporting and guiding your team of coaches. Naturally, there’ll be some administration involved, but rest assured that almost all your time will be spent doing what you do best, coaching swimmers to develop their potential. We’re looking for an Assistant Head Swimming Coach who is approachable, with the friendly, patient nature needed to build people’s trust, motivate pupils and encourage with praise.

You’ll need to have:

Minimum - Swim England Level One Coach Qualification

Desirable - Swim England Level Two Qualification

5 Years Experience coaching Development Swimmers ages 5 years to 13 years of age to the top end of Regional Level (finals).

Knowledge of nutrition, land training and physiology of swimmers of the above age.
