Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-time Bookkeeper to join our team. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a professional environment, supporting our financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with various accounting tasks using recognised Sage 50 accounting software. This position is ideal for someone with prior bookkeeping experience who is organised, reliable, and proficient in financial management tools.

Duties

Manage and record financial transactions using accounting software such as Sage
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner
Assist with payroll processing and expense reporting
Maintain organised financial records and prepare reports as required
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Collaborate with external accountants during audits or financial reviews
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
Proficiency in accounting software including Sage 50 accounts
Strong understanding of accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Prior experience with other accounting tools or software is advantageous
