Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter/Decorator to join our team, in the commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality projects while developing your skills within the construction painting industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and attention to detail.
Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and specialised equipment.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including safe disposal of waste materials.
Assist in colour matching and selecting appropriate finishes based on client specifications.
Complete projects within designated timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality.

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
Strong communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications accurately.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to painting and decorating activities.
