Job Description

Post Title: Goods In Operative

Department: Factory / Warehouse

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (3 Months)

Hours: 25.5 hours per week

Working Days: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and organised Goods in Operative to support our warehouse team on a fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, checking and processing incoming deliveries, ensuring stock is accurately recorded and stored, and helping to maintain an efficient warehouse operation.

Key Responsibilities

· Receive and process incoming deliveries.

· Unload, sort and organise cartons and stock items.

· Use handheld scanning equipment to identify and allocate stock to the correct warehouse locations.

· Check deliveries against documentation and report any discrepancies.

· Ensure goods are stored safely and accurately.

· Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

· Support colleagues across the warehouse and factory as required.

· Carry out any other duties reasonably required within the scope of the role.

Skills and Experience

Essential

· Good attention to detail.

· Ability to work accurately and efficiently.

· Reliable, punctual and well organised.

· Ability to work as part of a team.

· Comfortable with manual handling tasks.

Desirable

· Previous warehouse, goods-in or stock control experience.

· Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse systems.
