About the Role

Phase 9 Roofing Limited is looking for an organised, conscientious and proactive Part-Time Estimating Administrator to support our estimating team.

This is primarily an administrative role and previous roofing or estimating experience is not required. Full training will be provided.

The role will suit someone who is highly organised, comfortable communicating with clients and suppliers, and enjoys keeping on top of multiple enquiries and outstanding actions.

A key part of the position will be ensuring that new enquiries are properly recorded, quotations are followed up and potential opportunities are actively progressed rather than simply being submitted and forgotten.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and maintaining the company's tender and enquiry register.
Logging new tender enquiries and ensuring relevant information is available to the estimating team.
Monitoring tender return dates and assisting with the organisation of the estimating workload.
Following up quotations after submission and obtaining feedback from clients.
Establishing the current status of projects previously priced.
Identifying whether projects have been awarded and, where possible, which contractor has secured the work.
Maintaining regular contact with existing and prospective clients regarding tender opportunities.
Chasing outstanding information required to complete quotations.
Issuing supplier and subcontractor enquiries where required.
Following up outstanding supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Maintaining accurate records of tender outcomes, including successful and unsuccessful quotations.
Assisting with general estimating correspondence and administration.
Maintaining electronic project and tender files.
Providing general administrative support to the estimating and commercial team where required.

About You

We are particularly interested in someone who is:

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Conscientious and takes pride in completing tasks properly.
Proactive and prepared to chase outstanding actions without needing to be reminded.
Confident communicating by telephone and email.
Persistent and comfortable following up clients and suppliers.
Able to manage a number of different enquiries and priorities at the same time.
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of their workload.
Competent using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Reliable and professional.

Previous experience within construction would be beneficial but is not essential.

What We Are Looking For

Technical roofing knowledge is not the priority for this position. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the administrative side of our tender pipeline and ensure that opportunities are properly managed and followed through.

The successful candidate will work closely with our estimating team but will not initially be responsible for preparing technical roofing estimates.

As experience and knowledge develop, there will be an opportunity for the role to expand into other areas of estimating and commercial support.
