Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills in coffee preparation and customer engagement, contributing to a welcoming café atmosphere.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Handle food safety procedures diligently, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the workspace.
Take customer orders accurately, process payments efficiently, and provide friendly service to enhance the customer experience.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly.
Manage multiple orders simultaneously while adhering to time management principles to ensure prompt service.
Engage with customers courteously, providing information about menu items and addressing any special dietary requirements or preferences.

Requirements

Full UK driving licence preferred; confidence driving and manoeuvring a mobile coffee van safely.
Ability to assist with setting up and packing down the mobile coffee van at different locations and events.
Comfortable working independently or in small teams while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Basic knowledge of operating mobile coffee equipment, generators, water systems, and point-of-sale devices is advantageous.
Ability to handle stock management, including loading supplies, monitoring inventory, and restocking the van when required.
Willingness to travel to different locations and work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and event-based shifts.
Understanding of health and safety requirements related to mobile catering operations.
Ability to work efficiently in outdoor environments and adapt to changing weather conditions.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm during busy service periods or unexpected operational issues.
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the coffee van to ensure a professional and welcoming appearance at all times.

Pay: £12.21-£12.80 per hour
