Full job description

Brooks Bros (UK) Ltd, Hardwood Timber Importers are looking for a reliable TIMBER YARD OPERATIVE to join our busy team in Skelmersdale.

Position will involve some Hardwood Measuring for customer orders, assisting with cleaning and breaking down IBC's, sideloader / FLT driving and generally assisting the Yard Manager as required. This list is not exhaustive.

The successful candidate will have good mathematic ability, a willingness to learn and an enthusiastic personality.

English language to conversational level is essential to ensure health & safety requirements are understood.

Some heavy lifting is involved so applicants must be physically fit

A knowledge of the timber trade is advantageous, but not essential.

Experience driving FLT/Sideloader

Salary dependent on experience. Possibility for overtime.

Shift hours 08:00 – 17:00

Attendance bonus following successful probation period.
