Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and compassionate Activity Coordinator to join our team. Working under the guidance of the Activity Lead, you will support the delivery of a varied and engaging programme of activities that enhance the wellbeing, independence and quality of life of our residents.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same—you’ll be bringing energy, ideas and meaningful experiences to the people we support.

Key Responsibilities

Support in the planning and delivery a wide range of group and one-to-one activities
Support residents to take part in meaningful, person-centred activities based on their interests and life history
Create a fun, inclusive and stimulating environment that encourages participation
Work closely with the Activity Lead to ensure a full and engaging activity programme
Organise themed events, celebrations and occasional outings
Engage with residents, families and the wider team to gather feedback and improve activities
Maintain accurate records of participation and engagement
Support communication with families, including sharing updates where appropriate
Ensure all activities are delivered safely and in line with care plans and risk assessments

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Works well within a team
Has a creative and positive approach
Enjoys working with older people and understands person-centred care
Has good communication and interpersonal skills
Is organised, reliable and able to plan ahead
Can work independently
Has a genuine passion for improving the wellbeing of others

Desirable (but not essential):

Experience in a care home or similar setting
Background in activities, care, or wellbeing roles
Skills or interests in arts, crafts, music, or similar

This role includes weekend working on a rota basis
