Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to support a young person in their daily activities. This role involves, assisting with organisational tasks, promoting independence and daily activities. The successful candidate will play a vital part in enhancing the young person's quality of life through tailored support and effective communication. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing valuable skills within a caring environment.

Responsibilities

Assisting with daily routines, including young person's volunteering role.
Supporting the young person with travel arrangements and accompanying them as needed.
Facilitating communication between the young person, family members, and healthcare providers.
Managing organisational tasks such as scheduling activities and maintaining records.
Ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines at all times
Encouraging independence through supportive guidance and positive reinforcement.

Skills

Valid driving licence with the ability to drive safely and confidently
Experience working with young people, disabilities and challenging behaviour.
Knowledge of creating, following, and updating care plans
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Proficiency in record keeping, scheduling, and communication purposes
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Compassionate approach with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to changing needs and demonstrate patience and understanding

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Work Location: In person
