Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Strong CDP (Chef de Partie) to join busy team of Chefs in Grantchester. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for fresh food with a strong focus on delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and supporting the overall kitchen operations.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and quality in food presentation
Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with legal regulations
Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment to management
Support junior kitchen staff through training and guidance as required
Ensure all kitchen equipment is used correctly and maintained properly
Collaborate with the team to deliver excellent service during busy periods
Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and improvements

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in roles involving meal preparation and service
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Experience working in a fast-paced setting with high-quality culinary standards
Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles is advantageous

This position requires a motivated individual with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for culinary arts. The role offers an engaging work environment where professionalism, teamwork, and dedication are valued.

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
