Full job description

ADMINISTRATOR ASSISTANT required for busy office in North Glasgow. Established in 1987, Mims is a family owned import and wholesale business supplying garden pottery to garden centres throughout the UK and Ireland. Due to continued business growth, we are expanding the administrative team to support sales activities in the Operations Department.

ROLE AND MAIN DUTIES

Supporting the Operations Team with daily admin tasks
Answering incoming telephone calls
Printing and preparing retail labels
Booking in deliveries to customers by telephone
Handling sales and customer enquiries by email and telephone
Training will be provided

PERSONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

The key element is attitude with extraordinary soft skills (honesty, commitment, compassion, resilience, engagement with the business, empathy, receptive to learning). We will train you for expertise. This role would suit someone looking to grow into a senior admin position and be a key team member within the business.

Enjoys a varied role and ability to multi-task
Ability to work as a team member
Taking personal responsibility for work assigned and deadlines
Confident verbal and written communication skills
Good computer and numeracy skills
Previous experience an advantage

REMUNERATION

Permanent, full-time Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Starting salary between £27,000 to £29,000 per annum depending on previous experience and personal skills
Company pension scheme
Annual bonus scheme based on company and personal performance

25 days holiday, rising to 28 with length of service, plus public holidays
Day off on your birthday
Monday to Friday, full‑time position
