About the Company

Auction House Scotland is Scotland’s leading property auction house.

We have a reputation for delivering a client-focused approach that combines expert market knowledge, effective marketing strategies and honest advice to help our clients achieve the best possible sale price in the quickest possible time.

Our experienced team of property specialists have the ability to sell anything anywhere in Scotland - whatever the size, condition, or circumstance and now we are looking for our next marketing and social media specialist to help develop our storytelling.

About the Job

Day to day you'll be planning, creating and editing content (both written word and video) across social media and our website, scheduling our day-to-day social postings and ensuring everything that goes out has a commercial benefit to the business.

In addition, you’ll be on the road a few times a month, so a driving license is a must, directing shoots with our Sales Valuers and Viewing Agent to create commercially focussed videos for our auction lots.

We list hundreds of unique properties and plots of land each year and you’ll have the freedom to develop eye-catching ideas and specific stories for them, whether informative, humorous or on trend.

It’s a small team and we move fast so you’ll be fully involved with the full spectrum of Marketing activities – administration, data analysis, long-form blog writing, email campaigns, and supporting event management.

There will be occasional early morning and late night event work.

About the Candidate

You’ll be a content creator able to write, film and edit engaging content for different audiences across different platforms. You’ll be comfortable telling our team where to stand, what to say and how best to say it.

A storyteller who is an excellent copywriter and proficient in Adobe Premier Pro (or other video tools), has livestreaming knowledge and is an expert in design tools such as Canva or InDesign.

You’ll also need to be organised and have a keen eye for detail to ensure tasks are managed efficiently, accurately and to a consistently high standard.

You will likely be in your first or second job and looking to take the next step to further your career.

Experience in property auctions or an estate agency environment would be a bonus but not at all essential. The important thing is you are full of ideas, energy and ambition.
