Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Garage Door Service and Repair Engineer to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of garage doors and related systems. This role requires a practical individual with a strong background and experience with a variety of garage door systems, capable of delivering high-quality service to our clients. The position offers an excellent opportunity for those with hands-on experience in the trades, seeking a rewarding career in the garage door industry.

Responsibilities

Service, and repair garage doors, openers, and associated hardware in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Diagnose faults accurately and perform necessary repairs efficiently to minimise downtime for clients.
Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation of garage door systems.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out tasks.
Read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate work execution.
Collaborate with clients to explain repairs or installations clearly and provide professional advice on system maintenance.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in the garage door industry.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
Knowledge of manuals and technical drawings relevant to garage door systems.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail when diagnosing faults or performing installations.
Valid UK driving licence is essential for travel between sites.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical work or construction trades are desirable but not mandatory.
