Full job description

We are seeking an organised, proactive and compassionate Life Management Coordinator to support an adult client living with the long-term effects of a traumatic brain injury.

This is not a personal care role. The client is independent with personal care and mobility but benefits from support with organisation, planning, scheduling, administration and managing the practical demands of everyday life.

The successful candidate will work closely with the client, Case Manager, Financial Deputy, healthcare professionals and family members to ensure appointments, commitments and daily responsibilities are effectively coordinated.

This is a varied role that would suit somebody with strong administrative, organisational and communication skills who enjoys helping others achieve their goals and maintain independence.

Key Responsibilities

Managing the client’s diary and coordinating appointments.
Booking and organising medical, therapy, hairdressing, beauty and personal appointments.
Liaising with healthcare professionals, therapists and service providers.
Coordinating transport arrangements and taxi bookings.
Assisting the client to manage correspondence, emails and paperwork.
Supporting the client to prioritise activities and commitments around fatigue levels.
Assisting with planning and coordinating volunteering activities.
Liaising with the client’s Case Manager regarding approved expenditure and budgeting matters.
Supporting the client to organise household services and practical day-to-day tasks.
Attending occasional appointments or meetings with the client where appropriate.
Maintaining accurate records and updating the Case Manager as required.
Participating in multidisciplinary meetings when requested.

About the Client

The client is an intelligent and motivated individual who enjoys volunteering and leading an active life. Due to the long-term effects of a brain injury, she experiences difficulties with fatigue, organisation, planning, memory and managing multiple demands simultaneously.

The purpose of this role is to reduce these barriers and support the client to maintain independence and continue participating in the activities that are important to her.

Essential Skills and Experience

Previous administrative, coordination, executive assistant or PA experience.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and email systems.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable

Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, brain injury or neurological conditions.
Experience working within healthcare, rehabilitation, social care or case management settings.
Understanding of executive functioning difficulties, fatigue management and cognitive challenges.
