Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your hospitality skills within a lively and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patrons, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. A positive attitude, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential for success in this role.

Duties

Serve drinks and beverages accurately and efficiently to customers
Take orders and provide recommendations on drinks menu items
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and work surfaces
Manage cash register operations and handle payments accurately using basic maths skills
Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
Setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts
Engage with customers in a friendly manner to enhance their overall experience
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including responsible alcohol service

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or food service environments is advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
Proven ability to serve customers efficiently with excellent interpersonal skills
Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Basic maths competency for handling cash transactions accurately
Experience working in a restaurant or bar setting will be considered an asset
