Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts to showcase their skills and contribute to a vibrant dining experience. The successful applicant will ensure all food is prepared safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, providing exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist in meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure perfect results
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service
Manage stock levels of ingredients and notify management of shortages or issues
Follow health and safety procedures at all times during food handling and preparation

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent skills in meal preparation, grilling techniques, and kitchen organisation
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
Previous restaurant or culinary experience is highly desirable
Serving experience is a plus but not essential; willingness to learn is important
